How Does DWARF II Automatically Track An Object?

This automatic tracking tutorial is only for Phone/Video mode in the daytime. For astronomical tracking, please switch to astronomical mode.

1. Find the target

There are two ways to find the target. You can choose either way from the following two options.
1.1 On the telephoto lens screen, use the virtual joystick to align the telephoto lens to the target.
You can adjust the speed of the virtual joystick to quickly or preciously find the position of your target: click the speed adjustment button, and drag up and down to adjust the speed. The larger the number, the faster the speed, the smaller the number, the slower the speed.

1.2 Double-tapping the target you want to track on the wide-angle screen, and DWARF II will rotate to make the telephoto lens focus on the target.

PS: If you need to track a fast-moving target, it is recommended to predict the route of the moving target, draw a frame and hold your finger, and wait for the target to pass by, relax your finger to let the frame catch the target to track.

2. Focus

2.1 Auto Focus
Double tap the screen on the telephoto screen for auto-focusing, or click [Focus] and then click [AUTO] for auto-focusing.

2.2 Manual Focus
Click on [Focus], press and hold the "+" and "-" icons for preliminary focusing, and press the "+" and "-" keys for precise focusing.

PS: If the target is moving quickly or there are multiple objects in the frame, it is recommended to use manual focus.

3. Select the target for tracking.

In the "Photo" or "Video" mode, click "Feature" and then click "track", and use a single finger to draw a frame around the target to select the target.

PS: Note that there should be no extra background in the tracking frame, otherwise the target is likely to be lost during tracking.
Pay attention that the target cannot completely occupy the whole screen, otherwise, it will be easy to lose the target during tracking. It is suggested that the target only occupies one sixteenth of the screen, as shown in the size.

4. Stop tracking

Click on "Track" again to stop tracking.

5.1 After stopping the last tracking of a target, click [Track] and select a new target to start tracking.
5.2 Stop tracking and directly select the new target in the frame to replace the target for tracking.
